Minifyre 2019 - thank you!

Thank you to everyone who came along to Minifyre 2019 - we raised an amazing $2750, every cent of which will go back into our event in the form of arts and theme camp grants!

Minifyre really is a microcosm of Modifyre: an event pulled together by the mighty efforts of a dedicated few, and fleshed out by the communal effort and participation of everyone in attendance. If you scale Saturday night's event up to 500 people, then it becomes clear why we say Modifyre does not exist without participation. Whether you're manning the gate or slinging tacos in the kitchen, creating beautiful decor, painting faces, playing rad tunes, or jumping out of a giant cake - you're helping make magic happen.

If we've piqued your interest, please head to this link to find more info on volunteering at Modifyre - one of the best ways to get involved, meet new people, and incorporate the principle of gifting into your burn.

And remember: the Bug burns in 47 days!

BURN Arts, Inc and the Modifyre Community wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country
upon which Modifyre takes place, the Bigambul and Kambuwal Peoples.

We also wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country upon which we live, learn and work, the Jagera and Turrbal Peoples.
We honour their Ancestors and pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

We extend that respect to all First Nations People, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation. We honour and respect their continued cultural and spiritual relationship
to their Traditional Lands, Seas and Waters and recognise their unique and valuable contribution to society.

Sovereignty was never ceded.
