DEPT. OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION

The D.I.C. is responsible for the setup, operation, and pack down of Modifyre. We are the first to arrive onsite and the last to leave after everyone else has disappeared, and we manage all basic site infrastructure during the event. This includes roads and bridges, toilets, lighting, power, ice, and signage, as well as shelter structures for essential functions like Medics & Rangers.

During setup, D.I.C. crew work closely with the build crews, each providing the other with logistical support, and assisting in the procurement of construction materials. During the event, they attend to toilets, fill up generators, mark out burn perimeters and generally make themselves useful. After the event they work closely with Earth Guardians to restore the site to its pristine state.

Availability:

DIC is onsite 1-3 weeks before the event until 1 week after. Shifts are as long as the job takes and may be during the day or night.

Skills:

No specific qualifications are required, though we are especially fond of builders, electricians, arborists, plumbers, riggers, general handyfolk and resourceful bush-types. You will also have a positive outlook, a willingness to get stuck in, an insatiable thirst for beer and rum, and swagger like a 17th century pirate.
